Newcastle may not be a Super Bowl commercial juggernaut like fellow beer companies Bud Light and Miller Light. That doesn't mean it'll stop trying.
Newcastle released it's unofficial submission for the Doritos' "Crash the Super Bowl" commercial contest on Wednesday. Super Bowl ads cost $4 million for 30 seconds last year, so it's understandable that the beer company would prefer winning free airtime from Doritos to paying for the commercial to run.
Unfortunately, Newcastle wasn't named one of the contest's finalists. When you watch the commercial, you'll see why.
