When Ohio State quarterback Cardale Jones tweeted Thursday morning that he would be making a "life-changing decision" that afternoon, college football fans lost their minds.
Life changing decision at 4pm— Cardale Jones (@Cardale7_) January 15, 2015
Buckeyes safety Tyvis Powell is Jones' roommate and was worried he would leave him on the hook for a bigger chunk of the rent.
12 could've let me know what the decision was. I'm his father and his roommate for Christ sake. You think you know a guy....— Tyvis Powell (@1Tyvis) January 15, 2015
Whether 12 go or stay, Rent is still due on the 1st and I'm gone have my half!— Tyvis Powell (@1Tyvis) January 15, 2015
Luckily for Powell, Jones says he's staying in school.
The rent is SAFE!!!!— Tyvis Powell (@1Tyvis) January 15, 2015
Powell joked that he feared Jones would leave school after just a handful of college games, like former Duke guard Kyrie Irving.
I thought 12 was gone pull a Kyrie Irving— Tyvis Powell (@1Tyvis) January 15, 2015
But ultimately, Powell knew his friend would stay.
