Floyd Mayweather and Manny Pacquiao swap numbers at Heat game
Wednesday January 28th, 2015

Here's a recipe to spark Internet hysteria: Floyd Mayweather and Manny Pacquiao attending -- and talking to each other -- at the same Miami Heat game.

The Heat were hosting the Milwaukee Bucks, and with Mayweather being a noted NBA fan, it wasn't very surprising to see him there. He was also in Miami the past several days to judge the Miss Universe competition, according to the Miami Herald.

Mayweather sat courtside next to the Heat bench, while Pacquiao was on the opposite sideline. Pacquiao is also friendly with Heat coach Erik Spoelstra, as both are of Filipino descent.

The New York Daily News reported that Mayweather and Pacquiao met an undisclosed Miami hotel after the game to try to hash out a deal. The two fighters could meet May 2 if an agreement is reached.

Ira Winderman of the South Florida Sun Sentinel had a complete rundown of the proceedings.

As if that wasn't enough to digest, the Heat threw this enticing graphic onto the American Airlines Arena scoreboard:

Heat owner Micky Arison tweeted after the game that the arena would be open to hosting the fight.

The last we heard of the long-rumored Mayweather-Pacquiao fight, Top Rank boxing promoter Bob Arum was blaming Mayweather for the failure to get a deal completed. Mayweather has said he won't fight Pacquiao unless Arum steps aside.
