Kentucky coach John Calipari was very happy to hear that his former player, Sacramento Kings center DeMarcus Cousins, was named an NBA All-Star Game replacement on Friday.

Cousins will replace injured Los Angeles Lakers guard Kobe Bryant for the game, which will be held on Feb. 15 at Madison Square Garden. 

Cousins played one season under Calipari at Kentucky, from 2009-10. He was named SEC Rookie of the Year and a second-team All-American.
