Four-time MVP Kevin Hart retires from NBA Celebrity Game

What we do in life echoes in eternity.

Glory is fleeting, and rare is the person who can attain it and then, by choice, walk away. Hollywood megastar Kevin Hart became the exception that proves the rule on Friday night, and reaffirmed that famous people are just better than the rest of us.

The Hart-led East team fell this year to the squad from the West, 57-51. Hart scored 15 points, despite a pitched one-on-one battle with Little League star Mo'Ne Davis early in the game.

Unfortunately, Hart's point total, combined with Atlanta Dream guard Shoni Shimmel's 17 were not enough to overcome the West. Hart, however, was rewarded for his efforts with his fourth Celebrity Game MVP award.

With poise befitting a Hollywood star, Hart revealed that this year would be the last time he took the court.

"It's my fourth MVP," he said. "I can't do no more."

Godspeed, Kevin. May the balls bounce ever in your favor.
