Kanye West, Pitbull to headline Pan American Games closing ceremony

Kanye West and Pitbull will headline the Pan American Games closing ceremonies in Toronto on July 26.

Rapper Kanye West and hip-hop artist Pitbull will headline the Pan American Games closing ceremonies in Toronto on July 26, event organizers announced on Wednesday.

Canadian basketball forward Anthony Bennett was the first person to share the scoop on West on Twitter.

West has kept busy in the sports world throughout the summer by playing pick-up basketball at the Staples Center on his birthday (thanks to his wife Kim Kardashian), pumping up the United Center crowd before a Chicago Bulls playoff game and even holding a press conference during the NBA finals.

Pitbull was responsible for the 2014 FIFA World Cup anthem, but later admitted that he has a hard time following soccer.

No word on whether Toronto-native Drake, who often appears on tour with West, will make an appearance at the closing ceremonies.
