Marshawn Lynch jabs Seahawks’ Super Bowl blunder on The League

Seattle Seahawks running back Marshawn Lynch guest stars on the season premiere of The League and pokes fun at his team’s Super Bowl blunder.

All these months later, the Seahawks’ decision not to run the ball with Marshawn Lynch remains just as baffling. Seattle fans are probably still a little peeved, but Lynch himself is having fun with it.

The show’s co-executive producers are Seahawks fans and told EW they knew they had to poke fun at Pete Carroll’s disastrous decision. 

“We are Seahawks season ticket-holders and we had so much fun having Marshawn on last year that we had to do it again,” Jackie and Jeff Schaffer told EW. “If the Seahawks had won the Super Bowl, it was going to be a parody of the ‘I’m going to Disney World!’ ads. As you may have heard, that did not happen. So after we cried ourselves to sleep for the next month, we knew what the scene had to be about….”
