Pirates rookie Jung Ho Kang made strong contact on a ball that could have scored the game-winning run for Pittsburgh in the ninth inning on Tuesday, but instead it turned into a double play.

Kang’s anger at his bad luck was compounded by an error he had made in the top of the inning and all that rage was channeled at a defenseless bucket of gum.

Luckily for Kang’s teammates, the Dubble Bubble is individually wrapped, so it could still be salvaged.

The infielder’s anger must have inspired his teammates, as Pittsburgh went on to win 9–8.
