Granted Jennings’s deep thoughts are not entirely accurate, as there have been 73 NFL games that ended in a 0–0 tie, although the last one was in 1943, when Jennings' own Giants played the Lions to a scoreless draw.

Perhaps Jennings was just offering up a tribute to recently departed New York legend Yogi Berra with his comments, or maybe just reminding Virginia Tech’s Frank Beamer that the goal is for a team to score points.
