Houston walks on SMU jerseys ahead of Thursday game

Houston’s first year head coach, Tom Herman, has a lot of interesting coaching techniques, including bumping boosters from first class so linemen can have more room, and requesting Beyoncé come visit the team’s sidelines.

If the coach is behind a new decoration at the team’s facilities, it may be his oddest motivational device yet—taping jerseys from SMU to the floor ahead of facing the Mustangs Thursday night.

The undefeated Cougars are 25 1/2-point favorites over the 1–4 Mustangs, according to OddsShark, but the team may have provided its opponents with some serious bulletin board material with this maneuver.
