Dirk Nowitzki has had an illustrious NBA career and has a wide array of talents, but he has never been particularly well known for his speediness, and on Twitter he recently wondered who would win a race between him and another slow-footed superstar athlete, Peyton Manning.

Had this debate the other day in the locker room: Who wins a 40 yard dash between me and Peyton Manning???— Dirk Nowitzki (@swish41) October 23, 2015
This is an excellent locker room argument, as everyone likely has an opinion on who would win, but how could we ever get to the bottom of such a question? That is where our heroes, Mavericks forward Chandler Parsons and Broncos linebacker Von Miller, come in.
Miller puts the over under on times at 5.7 seconds and thinks the 39-year-old quarterback will defeat the 37-year-old power forward by at least one and a half yards.
While it is a long shot to actually occur, this could make for the most entertaining footrace since Charles Barkley took on elderly NBA ref Dick Bavetta.
And remember, even though the players both seem slow while everyone else is whizzing around them during games, they are probably still way faster than us regular people.
