Jim Harbaugh lists steak, sleep, milk as ‘natural steroids’

Tuesday November 3rd, 2015

Jim Harbaugh has some bodybuilding advice for young men who would like to become big, strong football players when they grow up: Eat steak, drink milk and water, and get lots of sleep.

Harbaugh shared this recipe for what he called “natural steroids” during his weekly radio show, according to ESPN, and the coach even quoted Robert Duvall’s grizzled coach character from 2005’s Kicking and Screaming to extol the virtues of beef.

"I take a vitamin every day," he said. "It's called a steak."

The Michigan first-year coach’s emphasis on milk is particularly interesting considering his son revealed he once saw his father pour Gatorade over cereal in lieu of his preferred dairy drink.
