A new world record has been set in the hotly contested world of robot walking.

A Chinese robot named Xingzhe has set a new record for longest walk by a quadruped robot with an 83-mile jaunt doubling the previous mark set by a robot built in the United States at Cornell which covered 41 miles, according to NBC News.

The record will be a tough one to beat but hopefully America can focus all of its brain power and resources and come up with a quadruped robot which can cove 82 miles or more on a single battery charge. Our national pride is depending upon it.
