Michigan alum Tom Brady loses bet, wears Ohio State shirt to practice

It was a rough weekend for Tom Brady.

It was a rough weekend for Tom Brady. His New England Patriots lost their first game of the season to Brock Osweiler and the Denver Broncos. He potentially lost his top receiving threat Rob Gronkowski to a knee injury. And last Saturday, his alma mater Michigan lost to their heated rival Ohio State in blowout fashion, by a score of 42-13.

As part of a bet he made on the game with teammate Nate Ebner, a former Ohio State player, Brady was forced to swallow his pride and show up to practice wearing a Buckeyes shirt. There’s no photo evidence, but ESPN’s Mike Reiss confirmed the news via Twitter:

At least Brady isn’t Drew Stanton or Matt Barkley, both who were forced to wear far more ridiculous outfits in the past couple weeks. Before the Cardinals’ game against the San Francisco 49ers this past Sunday, Stanton was forced to rock this absurd shirt and pants combination after losing his team’s quarterback skills competition:

The week earlier, Barkley was the unlucky loser, and had to wear this, uh, outfit during warmups:

Luckily, Brady isn’t a backup on the Cardinals, but then again there are no former Ohio State players on Arizona’s roster. He also probably wouldn’t lose any skill competitions to Drew Stanton or Matt Barkley.
