Pitcher Jeremy Guthrie finds off-season workout partner on Twitter

Jeremy Guthrie is a free agent and needs someone to help keep his arm fresh this winter.

Major league pitcher Jeremy Guthrie is a free agent and needs to keep his arm fresh this winter while waiting waiting for a team to call. There’s just one problem: He doesn’t have a workout partner.

So Guthrie put out a call on Twitter.

He got a response from a guy named A.J. Salinas, a junior utilityman for Graceland University in Iowa.

Guthrie decided Salinas’s résumé was good enough and asked him if he knew a spot they could go to. 

And then they actually met up and had a catch!
