He is back with another adorable yarn in a recent interview on the Dan LeBatard Show, this one about how his future wife, who grew up just three miles from Nelson in rural Kansas, dumped him so she would not be tied down in the summer in junior high.

“It was actually 7th grade. At the end of the school year, she had an incredible reason why, it was the end of the school year and summertime and apparently she didn't want to be around me. She didn't want to be tied down to one guy in seventh grade in the summer.”

Nelson and his wife reconciled as freshman in high school and tied the knot in 2007, a year before he was drafted by the Packers.
