Temporary Super Bowl 50 sign vandalized, altered to say ‘SUP BRO’

This year’s Super Bowl is being held in the Bay Area, which apparently doesn’t care for large signs.

A temporary ‘Super Bowl 50’ statue near Alamo Square in San Francisco, Calif. was quickly removed on Sunday after it was repeatedly vandalized and toppled over the weekend. According to SFist, some tricksters left the sign reading “Superb Owl,” and “Oops.”

While those are witty, they do not quite match these two profound words.

‘SUP BRO’ is many things. It is a greeting. It is an exclamation. It is a question that has been asked by some of the world’s greatest philosophers. Above all else, ‘SUP BRO’ is a way of life.

It’s sad to see the sign go, but nothing will ever be able to match this pungent message.

Finally, something else to talk about before Super Bowl Sunday.
