Spurs celebrate strong season with team costume party

The Spurs threw a costume party at the team’s facilities on Sunday.

The Spurs set a franchise record with their 67 wins this season, and while the team obviously hoped to advance beyond the second round of the NBA playoffs, they are not letting their Western Conference Semifinals loss to the Thunder get them down too much.

As the players returned to the team facility on Sunday to clear out their lockers after a hard fought season, they decided to cut loose and have with a “Sunday Funday” by showing up in costumes, as documented in Boris Diaw’s Instagram.

Even though it is very unlikely, let’s all just assume it is Gregg Popovich in the red Power Ranger costume, because Gregg Popovich wearing a Power Ranger costume three days after being knocked out of the playoffs is the most fascinating thing that could ever happen.
