Joel Embiid is really happy about the 76ers’ No. 1 pick

Joel Embiid reacted to results of the NBA draft lottery on Twitter.

The Philadelphia 76ers won the NBA draft lottery on Tuesday night, taking home the No. 1 overall pick for the first time since 1996 when the team selected Allen Iverson. 

The No. 1 pick is a big win for the team’s management, a relief for the team’s beleaguered fans, and apparently, a big deal for former lottery pick Joel Embiid. Drafted No. 3 overall, Embiid has missed two seasons because of injuries, but his Twitter game is still in fine form, as he exhibited Tuesday night.

First, he let go a self-censored reaction.

Finally, Embiid addressed reports of his love of Shirley Temples, a drink that allegedly caused Embiid to gain weight as he rehabbed his injuries.
