Chewbacca Mom, the star of the Facebook video we’ll use to teach our grandchildren about 2016, threw out the first pitch at the Tampa Bay Rays game on Saturday.
The Rays pulled out all the stops for the viral video star, having Chewbacca himself (FINE, someone in a Chewbacca costume) accompany Chewbacca Mom—real name Candace Payne—to the mound. I’m quite a fan of Payne’s wind up, which includes a little self-toss before the throw toward the plate.
