Florida boy says lunch with Travis Rudolph was like sitting on a rainbow
Florida State receiver Travis Rudolph, middle schooler Bo Paske and Bo’s mom Leah discussed Thursday the touching lunch encounter between Travis and Bo that went viral earlier this week.
Tuesday, Rudolph made headlines with a simple gesture—joining Bo for lunch at his middle school when he noticed Bo was sitting alone. Leah Paske, Bo’s mother, posted a photo of the two on Facebook, and explained how touched she was by Rudolph’s actions because her son—who has autism—often has to eat lunch alone.
Leah met Rudolph for the first time Thursday when she, her son and the receiver were interviewed on Fox & Friends.
Bo described the lunch as “kind of like me sitting on a rainbow.”
Rudolph had no clue his gesture would touch so many people.
“I didn't even recognize that it would be this big,” he said. “It just became really viral, and I just wanted it to become aware that everyone is the same, and one man can make a difference.”
The best part of this story is that Bo no longer eats lunch alone.
“Actually, yesterday, in the cafeteria he was sitting at a table full of girls,” Leah Paske said. “He was the most popular kid in the room.”
