Wrigleyville bars are charging ridiculous covers for the World Series

Some bars are charging more than $200 for fans to watch the World Series in Wrigleyville.

The Chicago Cubs are in the World Series for the first time since 1945 and faithful fans could not be happier. Good luck to those trying to watch the games outside of the stadium in the Wrigleyville and Lakeview area.

Several bars have decided to charge expensive covers in order for fans to sit and watch on their televisions. 

John Barleycorn at 3524 N. Clark St. is charging $250 for their World Series package which includes admission, drinks from 7 p.m. to the ninth inning, one app, and one entree. You can add a four-top table for $500.

The same deal applies at Deuce's and The Diamond Club on 3505 N. Clark Street.

The Cubby Bear at 1059 W Addison Street is charging $100 for fans to enter. 

Murphy's, which has been featured on the FOX broadcast, will open its doors at 10 a.m. and not charge fans a cover. Lines started at 3 p.m. for the NLCS.

A 12-pack of Old Style goes for about $10 to $12 dollars and sitting on your couch is free.
