NBA Should Definitely Overturn Giannis Antetokounmpo’s Super Lame Triple-Double

Milwaukee Bucks star Giannis Antetokounmpo is one of the best basketball players in the world and seems to be a really good human being, too, which is always nice.
But what he did at the end of Sunday’s Bucks-Wizards game was a pretty lame, and the NBA should take action on it and strike the big man’s triple-double from the books.
In case you missed it, Antetokounmpo was a rebound shy of getting a triple-double. Then just before the final buzzer sounded, he took the opportunity to “attempt a shot,” but really he just did it to get his 10th rebound and secure the triple-double.
Check this out:

I mean, come on. I get that triple-doubles aren’t the most important things in the world, and we shouldn’t be freaking out about what he did—but that type of move is a pretty bad look.
That “rebound” was also huge for some bettors:
Giannis just cashed his rebounds prop (9.5) and his triple-double prop by giving himself a rebound at the end of the game 😳

Could the NBA take that away? Yup.
This is not over. There is precedent for an overturn. We’ll see.https://t.co/kD5tjkElzL

UPDATE: The NBA ended up taking away rebound and the triple-double.
The league has rescinded Giannis Antetokounmpo's 10th rebound last night--and thus his triple-double, sources tell ESPN. League rules say that for a field-goal attempt to count as official, the player has to shoot "with intent to score a field-goal" -- i.e. to make the shot.

Well done, NBA.
