Stat Showing LeBron James’s Playoff Shooting Woes Goes Viral
On Thursday night, LeBron James did not play up to his normal standard in the fourth quarter, going 0-for-3 from deep and scoring just six points. That was after he went 0-for-2 from three-point range and scored just one field goal in the fourth quarter of the Lakers’ Game 1 loss.
James’s shooting struggles from beyond the arc in the fourth quarter have been an issue all postseason long. After making his first fourth quarter three against Memphis in Game 1 of the playoffs weeks ago, the veteran has missed his last 19 threes in the final quarter, according to ESPN.
On the season, James shot 32.1% from three, his lowest percentage since the 2015–16 season. During the postseason, James is shooting just 23.3% from deep, which includes his 1-for-20 struggles in the final quarter.
Los Angeles returns home this weekend for Game 3, as the Lakers try to get back in the series down 2–0. For them to pull off the comeback, they will need James to find his shot from deep late in games.
