Week three in Minnesota high school football is a week for some teams to prove contender status.

No. 3 Lakeville North (2-0) has an opportunity to take down crosstown rival No. 2 Lakeville South (2-0).

Totino-Grace (2-0) squares off against a premier Class 4A program in Hutchinson (2-0).

Lakeville South hits game-winning field goal to defeat Lakeville North

No. 20 East Ridge (1-1) vs. No. 13 Stillwater (1-1)

A Metro-East showdown between two teams fighting to break back into the top-10.

Minneota (2-0) vs. BOLD (2-0)

Minneota and BOLD are 2-0 and looking to set the pecking order in Class 1A. BOLD fell to Minneota in the Section 5 finals last season.

No. 23 Mounds View (2-0) vs. No. 19 Forest Lake (1-1)

Mounds View has two close wins over Farmington and White Bear Lake, and the Rangers have a close win over East Ridge and a close loss to Prior Lake.

This could be a close one.

Hutchinson (2-0) vs. Totino-Grace (2-0)

Hutchinson is a perennial Class 4A contender, and Totino-Grace went 1-8 in Class 6A last season, but the Eagles are in Class 4A now, and they defeated 2022 champion Simley last week.
