Cooper Flagg receives offers from Texas Longhorns and UCF Knights

The Montverde Academy (Florida) star adds the Longhorns and Knights to his growing list of Division 1 basketball offers

Cooper Flagg is arguably the top high school boys basketball prospect in the nation, regardless of class.

The 6-foot-8 195-pound junior power forward dominated Nike Peach Jam last weekend, putting up some of the most memorable performances in the history of the prestigious event. 

However, Flagg and his Maine United squad ended up losing to The Boozer Twins' NightRydas Elite in back-to-back years for the Nike EYBL Peach Jam E16 title. 

Shortly after Peach Jam was over, the Montverde Academy (Florida) star announced on his Twitter account that he picked up offers from both the Texas Longhorns and UCF Knights.

Flagg holds offers from Duke, Kansas, Michigan, UCLA, Connecticut, Maine and many other Division 1 programs. 

The five-star junior prospect is ranked as the No. 2 overall recruit in the class of 2025, according to consensus media recruiting rankings. 

Both Rivals and On3 have Cooper Flagg as the nation's No. 1 overall prospect in the class of 2025, while ESPN and 247Sports list Flagg at No. 2 behind Cameron Boozer. 

Flagg also claimed MVP honors at the exclusive National Basketball Players Association Top 100 Camp in Orlando, Florida, which is reserved for the top high school basketball players in the country over July 4 weekend. 

He averaged 22 points, nine rebounds, two blocks and a steal per game at the camp to help lead his team to the championship game.
