Tae Harris commits to Clemson; Bluechip defensive back locks in decision

The Clemson Tigers have a top-three recruiting class nationally early in the 2025 cycle.

And Dabo Swinney added to that haul Monday with a key defender.

Cedartown (Georgia) four-star defensive back Tae Harris, a bluechip cornerback and safety prospect, announced his commitment to the Tigers on social media.

"First and foremost I want to thank God without him I am nothing," he wrote. "A special thank you to my mom for molding me and all the sacrifices you have made for me to be in this position I am today. Family and friends much love for the support through this wild journey. After a great recruiting experience and long months of searching where i fit the best for me and my family, I have decided to further my education and football career at the University of Clemson." 

Harris is rated the nation's No. 11 safety (No. 125 overall) by 247Sports and the No. 26 cornerback (No. 194 overall) by On3. 

The 6-foot, 195-pound versatile athlete committed to Clemson over offers from Auburn, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, LSU, Miami, Oklahoma, Oregon, Tennessee, USC and others.

Harris the 11th commitment in Clemson's 2025 class, a group that is ranked No. 3 nationally and led by three top-50 prospects (all of whom are front-seven prospects) - Southern (North Carolina) defensive lineman Isaiah Campbell, South Florence (South Carolina) defensive lineman Amare Adams and Maury (Virginia) edge-rusher Ari Watford.
