The Los Angeles Angels still have one more game to go today against the Boston Red Sox but they have already clinched the series win regardless of what happens. This marks two straight and LA is looking like they have new life.

A huge reason for all of this is because Mickey Moniak joined the big league roster and proved he belonged since day one. He is up to four homers in just 10 games and even though it's a small sample size, his overall stats in his early start to the year have been insane. History has now been made on his end as he tied George Springer's record for most leadoff dingers to start the year.

Moniak's OPS currently sits at 1.373 and he is slashing .419/.438/.935 as he continues to terrorize opposing pitchers. Team manager Phil Nevin shared some initial fears about how clubhouses would start to game-plan around him now that he's growing into a threat but that didn't work out so well in Tuesday's win.

The 25-year-old started things off against Boston with another leadoff home run.

In a season filled with surprises on the Halos' roster, Moniak might just be the biggest one yet. Everybody knew the potential he carried with him being a former number one pick, but he immediately showcased his talent upon arrival.

Announcers for Bally Sports West have been able to witness Moniak's rise these past few weeks up close and were able to share what that has been like for them.

"He's taking advantage of his opportunity to play and showing that he can do the things that he's been built to do as a young player. He's a fastball-first guy and he likes to hunt for them. You know who reminds me of this? Back in 1993, a guy named J.T. Snow, he hit like six homers in the first two weeks of the season."

Moniak will look to continue his stellar swinging in this final game against Boston and the next series against the Mariners.
