Let's take a quick trip back to the 2013 season for the Los Angeles Angels! It was just Mike Trout's third year in the MLB and he was already an AL MVP runner-up, the Halos finished with a 78-34 record, and real fans may remember a certain pitcher by the name of Ryan Brasier.

Brasier was a sixth round pick for the franchise back in 2007. He made his big league debut in 2013 where he appeared in seven games and pitching nine innings that saw him record a 2.00 ERA in his short time there. He then opted to polish up his game some more in Japan before returning to the MLB.

However, the year is now 2023 and since the beginning of this month, Brasier has been with the Los Angeles Dodgers' minor league affiliate (Triple-A Oklahoma City) and now has been called up just in time for a freeway series against his original squad.

This news was first reported by Dodger Insider on Twitter!

"The #Dodgers selected the contract of RHP Ryan Brasier, optioned LHP Bryan Hudson and DFA'd RHP Andre Jackson. Brasier has seven seasons in the big leagues. He appeared in 20 games this year with Boston (7.29 ERA) and has a career 4.45 ERA."

Brasier's longest stint on a major league roster came with the Boston Red Sox in 2022 where he took the mound for a total of 68 games and posted a 5.78 ERA to go with a 1.299 WHIP.

The Dodgers have definitely been looking for ways to improve their bullpen amidst a slew of injuries and maybe they'll be able to bring the best out of Brasier. They were able to take down the Halos 2-0 on Tuesday so we'll see what today has in store for them!
