Angels News: Jared Walsh Set to Make Season Debut with LA Saturday

In this story:
If everything goes according to plan, Jared Walsh's time away from the Los Angeles Angels will finally come to an end and he will be added to the big league roster again for the first time in 2023.
This has been a long time coming and the Angels community has come together to support Jared Walsh ever since he was placed on the IL back when Spring Training was coming to a close. He was dealing with some serious neurological issues and you can read some of our previous articles (here) to see exactly what they consisted of.
But this is going to be quite the sight to see if this does go through and team manager Phil Nevin confirmed that Walsh will be activated as long as everything goes good when he plays for the Salt Lake Bees at 6:45 pm PT.
Both Rhett Bollinger and Sam Blum confirmed the reports.
If all goes well tonight, Jared Walsh could be activated from the IL tomorrow, Nevin said.

Jared Walsh could be activated and play tomorrow if he feels good after playing for SLC tonight. They’ll evaluate later on.

Ever since Walsh was finally able to get consistent sleep again and not have discomfort playing baseball, he was assigned a rehab stint with the AAA Salt Lake Bees and has been shining.
Up until now, he has suited in six games for the Bees and is slashing an elite .500/.643/.700 while connecting on a home run and five RBI's. Walsh was recently quoted as referring to his IL stint as 'hell' so we love to see him thriving right now.

I am fully expecting him to shine one last time in AAA and the rejoin the Angels for his first official match of 2023!
