Jared Walsh has yet to suit up for the Los Angeles Angels yet this season and it appears to be one of the more confusing injury recoveries that we've seen in quite some time.

Injury probably isn't even the right term to use despite Walsh being placed on the IL since the beginning of the year. He has been dealing with serious neurological issues that have lead to a multitude of headaches, insomnia, and a clear disability to perform on a baseball field.

Walsh has been a very solid infielder for the Halos for the past four seasons with his best year coming in 2021.

It was very unfortunate to hear that he had been dealing with this neurological battle for over a year.

“It’s actually been bothering me for about a year and a half,” Walsh said back in April. “A lot of neurological symptoms and I couldn’t really get an answer on what was going on. Pretty concerning stuff. So I wanted to know, is this something I’m going to deal with for the rest of my life? Is it something that I can manage? Can it get better? So luckily, I feel like I found some answers to that.”

However, we have received some good news and maybe could even see the 29-year-old back within the system very soon.

Team manager Phil Nevin expects a timetable for his return within the next few weeks.

"Jared Walsh seems to be getting closer to a return. Phil Nevin said he's got some other hurdles to clear through next week, but he thinks after that they can start talking about a timetable on his return."

It will be huge for LA whenever Walsh suits up again but the most important thing here is clearly his health.
