Angels News: Halos Veteran Infielder Shows He's Ready For His Potential Return

Talking about Jared Walsh this season has been bittersweet for Angels fans because we all know the consistency and energy he's brought in the past but some serious neurological roadblocks have kept him from suiting up in the big league this season.

His best year with the Halos came when he was at his healthiest back in 2021 as he posted a slash line of .277/.340/.509 and bombed 29 home runs as one of their more consistent offensive options that year.

However, 2022 saw him undergo a battle with thoracic outlet syndrome and then he came into this new season with a number of issues surrounding insomnia, headaches, and anxiety. The slightest of actions were tough for him but he's finally on a good path to recovery once again.

He has been suiting up for the AAA Salt Lake Bees and in four games thus far, he already has three RBI's, a homer, and is batting .462. Angels fans have been getting super excited and team manager Phil Nevin has assured that he has been keeping a close eye on his progression there.

Jared Walsh

is feeling improvement in his timing at the plate during his three games at Triple-A, according to manager Phil Nevin. Nevin also noted that Walsh will continue his rehab assignment when the club's Triple-A affiliate returns to action on Tuesday and they will leave the decision up to Walsh in regards to his return to the Angels. The 29-year-old has yet to appear in the big leagues in 2023 due to headaches and is coming off a rather disastrous campaign in 2022.
