The Los Angeles blew a huge lead and also made a huge comeback in their Sunday match against the Toronto Blue Jays but ultimately lost 12-11.

We hope everyone had a happy Easter despite this loss. Reid Detmers started at the pitching mound and was having a great game up until the infamous grand slam in the sixth inning which changed the whole trajectory of the outcome. Let's take a look at how we got there.

Upon his return to the lineup, Anthony Rendon finally saw success at the plate and this continued on Sunday. He started things off with a single in the first inning that allowed Ohtani to score and Hunter Renfroe continued his own streak with a homer that brought both of them in.

Ohtani loves matching his teammates' energy and when the third inning rolled around, he bombed his own two-run homer that brought gave him and Mike Trout a trip around the bases.

Logan O'Hoppe, everybody's favorite rookie... Are we even sure he's actually a rookie with this level of play he's sustaining right now? 6-0 in the fourth inning thanks to him.

However, slowly but surely the Blue Jays started to load their bases up after this and all it took was Chapman to step up to the plate.

Detmers threw one money pitch for him and that's all it took. Big grand-slam shrunk the lead considerably.

It was a back and forth battle from here on out and Kevin Kiermaier tied the game with a big triple.

He and Chapman hit a couple more singles in the seventh inning and before we knew it, Toronto had firm control of the game with a 10-6 lead at Angel Stadium.

But you already know our Halos weren't going down without a fight, not in front of the home crowd. 

A Brandon Drury home run, Rendon pitch hit, and Renfroe double all got them back in it as they tied the game 10-10.

Quite the nerve-wrecking game if I do say so myself.

We are on to extra innings! Keirmaier returned again with a ground double that brought Biggio home and then scored off of a Springer single.

Mike Trout then walked and made it a close one as Drury scored in the process.

Unfortunately, Ohtani failed to get a good hit off with the bases loaded and the final score was 12-11.

The Angels failed to win their third straight series and they start their next one against the Nationals on Monday at 6:38 pm PT.
