Emmy Award Actor Furious with Angels Over This Game Ritual

In this story:
In the early 2000's, fans may remember the Los Angeles Angels put together a ritual in which a capuchin monkey by the name of Katie would make random appearances wearing a Halos jersey in a means to uplift the team and the crowd.
This originally began as just a video on the Jumbotron in good fun but the Angels' organization soon decided that they wanted to bring in their own primate in order to capture their own original footage and also give the fans a more live experience.
Katie hasn't really showed up at Angels stadium as of late ever since the 2020 season but it is looking like they are still in some hot water with the PETA (People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals) and more specifically, a famous actor by the name of Alec Baldwin has composed a letter to team owner Arte Moreno urging him to stop this practice.

"Monkeys are intelligent, curious, highly social animals with complex physical and psychological needs that can’t be met when they’re used for entertainment. In nature, capuchin monkeys spend most of their time racing through the uppermost canopies of the rainforest with astonishing speed and agility. But when they’re bred for entertainment, the vulnerable infants are torn away from their mothers shortly after birth—and it’s standard practice to use physical violence and psychological domination to force them to perform tricks on command."

“Airing this type of content on your jumbotron could increase the public’s desire to own these animals as ‘pets,’ which would fuel unscrupulous dealers who mass-breed primates and sell them with no consideration for their welfare."

This is quite the battle the Angels could find themselves in and we'll be sure to keep a close eye on it.
