The Houston Astros pulled off an improbable comeback in the AL West division during the final week of the regular season on their way to winning it for the third consecutive year.

There were major implications that came out of that result.

The Astros no longer have to play in the AL Wild Card round as they get a bye straight into the ALDS. They'll get to rest and prepare for their upcoming opponent.

While that celebration is going on, one of Houston's star sluggers is hoping that he gets a ruling in his favor to celebrate a milestone of his own.

In the last game of the season, Kyle Tucker needed one home run to join the 30-30 club, highlighting players who have 30 homers and 30 stolen bases in the same year.

Then he got it on an inside the park home run.

Then he didn't, when it was ruled a triple and error and later a triple and fielder's choice.

Then he got it again when it was changed to a home run.

Only to have it changed once again to an official ruling of tiple and fielder's choice.

The wild set of circumstances started when Tucker hit a ball over the right fielder's head and was able to easily jog to third. He noticed that the shortstop who received the ball wasn't paying attention and jogging the ball in.

Tucker then sprinted home and crossed the plate as the shortstop was throwing the ball to the pitcher.

"I mean, if it’s a triple right now, then yeah I am [going to petition]," the star outfielder told Brian McTaggart of MLB.com after the game.

30-30 is coveted club and has only been accomplished by Jeff Bagwell in Astros' history.

Tucker has been close before.

He had 30 home runs in 2021 but only 14 stolen bases. In 2022, he hit 30 homers once again, but only stole 25 bases.

If MLB doesn't rule in his favor on this play, it would sting the most considering he has 29 home runs and 30 stolen bases.

Still, Tucker had an incredible season, leading the American League in RBI with 112. He's the third Houston player to have done this, joining Bagwell and Lance Berkman.

Nothing can take away how dominant the Astros star was this season. The petition ruling will determine if it's one of the best ever in franchise history.
