Houston Astros Star Primed for Bounce-Back, Monster Season

Houston Astros third baseman Alex Bregman is healthy and ready to go as he looks to the regain form that turned heads during the 2019 MLB season.

The Houston Astros have no shortage of talent on their roster. After winning the 2022 World Series, the Astros are favorites to repeat. Almost all of that prediction is based on the elite talent on the roster.

One name in particular to watch is third baseman Alex Bregman.

Widely regarding as one of the top third basemen in the league, Bregman has room to improve. Injuries have kept Bregman sidelined during the winter and have affected him throughout the seasons following his incredible 2019 campaign.

This spring is different. He is healthy and ready to go.

“Workouts this offseason were great," said Bregman. "We got a good routine down, got a great staff here that’s been helping me ramp up and get ready to go for the season. But overall, the offseason buildup was great. I’m ready to play.”

Imagine a lineup in it with a healthy Bregman for an entire season. At his best, Bregman is a perennial MVP candidate. An entire season of that type of production would have an immeasurable effect on the roster.

Being healthy coming into camp is the first step in seeing that happen.

Bregman, more than anybody, would love to have another monster year. Especially as free agency begins to loom in his future
