WATCH: Houston Texans Head Coach DeMeco Ryans Throws Out First Pitch

Houston Texans head coach DeMeco Ryans was given the honor to throw out the ceremonial first pitch at Minute Maid Park on Monday, May 15.
With the Houston Astros set to host the Chicago Cubs, Ryans took the hill and fired a laser to rookie Corey Julks.

Ryans also spent some time talking to Astros manager Dusty Baker and Houston players while on the field before the game.
Prior to throwing out the first pitch, Ryans took some time to speak with Fox 26 Houston about the rare privilege.
"This is very cool," Ryans said. "I grew up a big baseball fan so to have the opportunity to do this, throw out the first pitch, is a huge honor. I'm thankful and happy to have this opportunity."
The Astros went on to defeat the Cubs 6-4 to win the series opener.
