Normalcy returns to Blue Jays baseball, on the field and in the booth.

Dedicated radio broadcasts will return when the team begins play in Canada on Friday, Rob Longley of the Toronto Sun reported.

Though details are not known or confirmed, Longley reported that Toronto will have a dedicated radio broadcast beginning Friday, moving away from the simulcasted Radio/TV setup that has been used for the entire 2021 season thus far.

In May, after a few weeks of simulcasted games, Sportsnet vice-president Rob Corte said he was "happy with the progress" of the simulcasted games, but was looking to add a bit more radio at times, without compromising the television product.

"There’s still a little bit of a way to go before we find the sweet spot where we’re completely happy,” Corte told Global News.

A combination of Buck Martinez, Pat Tabler, and Dan Shulman, the television voices of the Blue Jays, have been calling home and away Toronto games this year for both radio and television.

Ben Wagner, who has been the radio play-by-play voice of the Blue Jays since March 2018, will likely reprise his role behind the mic later this week. Wagner has been working as a reporter and analyst during television broadcasts this season.

Toronto makes their home debut on Friday against the Kansas City Royals, playing three home series during the first Canadian home stand in over 650 days.
