Braves Briefing: Freddie Freeman took it to Atlanta Monday night

Here's a look around MLB from an Atlanta Braves perspective.

If you're a Braves fan, Monday night wasn't fun. An early lead thanks to every batter in the Atlanta lineup getting a plate appearance in the first was quickly erased by Freddie Freeman and the Los Angeles Dodgers.

Freeman was 3 of 5 from the plate, with a double, and a three-run go-ahead home run. His 3 RBIs led the Dodgers to an 8-6 win over the Braves. The former Atlanta MVP is off to a hot start in 2023. He's hitting .328 from the plate and is sixth in baseball with a .569 slugging percentage.

Spencer Strider will aim to limit Freeman and the Dodgers Tuesday night.

Braves Today's Andrew Stefaniak handled our coverage Monday night. He pointed out Eddie Rosario's big night.

Eddie Rosario was the offense for the Braves in this game, going 2-4 with three RBI's and two runs scored. He launched a three-run bomb in the first that gave the Braves an early lead. Rosario has been a reliable player for the Braves for years now, and with all of the injuries the Braves have sustained this year, he will be a big part of this team all season. It's good to see him seeing the ball well at the dish.
