Broadcast Team Adds Newcomers for 2024

The broadcast team for Braves games on Bally Sports will feature three newcomers in 2024. Analyst C.J. Nitkowski was hired in January to be the new lead analyst for the network. Bally Sports also adds recently retired MLB pitcher Collin McHugh as a Braves LIVE contributor and Hanna Yates as a reporter.

The broadcast booth will feature play-by-play announcer Brandon Gaudin along with analysts Nitkowski, Tom Glavine and Jeff Francoeur.

Brandon Gaudin: Gaudin enters his second year as the television voice of the Braves, earning National Sports Media Association (NSMA) Georgia Sportscaster of the Year following his inaugural season.

C.J. Nitkowski: Nitkowski makes his debut as lead analyst on the Bally Sports Braves broadcast team after seven seasons calling Texas Rangers games for Bally Sports Southwest. Nitkowski pitched for 10 MLB seasons, playing for eight different teams, including 22 games with the Braves during the 2004 season. He is a recipient of six Lone Star Emmy awards and is a co-host of “Loud Outs,” a daily show on SiriusXM’s MLB Network Radio.

Tom Glavine: Glavine is now in his 14th season as an analyst in the booth. Glavine is in the National Baseball Hall of Fame after a career that spanned 22 MLB seasons, including 17 with the Braves (1987-2002, 2008) and five with the New York Mets (2003-2007).

Jeff Francoeur: Francoeur begins his eighth season as a member of the Braves broadcast team and will have a smaller package of games in 2024 after deciding to spend more time with his wife and four children. A 12-year MLB veteran, Francoeur spent six seasons (2005-09, 2016) with the Atlanta Braves.

Bally Sports will use a rotation of three reporters for the 2024 season with Wiley Ballard, Ashley ShahAhmadi and Yates.

Wiley Ballard: Ballard joins the broadcast team this season for his first year as a reporter. He was featured on Braves LIVE last season with a “Wiley’s Wheelhouse” advanced stats segment. Ballard is also the voice of Georgia Tech baseball.

Ashley ShahAhmadi: ShahAhmadi returns for a second season as reporter. ShahAhmadi filled in as host of Braves LIVE for the previous two seasons.

Hanna Yates: Yates is a newcomer to the broadcast team as a reporter this season. Yates previously covered the St. Louis Cardinals as a sports anchor/reporter for KSDK, the local NBC affiliate in St. Louis from 2019-22.

Braves LIVE pregame and postgame shows will be hosted by Treavor Scales. Joining him on the desk will be a rotation of Nick Green and Peter Moylan as analysts.

Treavor Scales: Scales begins his third season as the host of Braves LIVE. He earned a Southeast Emmy Award in 2023 and also hosts Hawks LIVE for Bally Sports.

Nick Green: Green enters his 10th season as an analyst for the networks and earned a Southeast Emmy Award last summer. Green played eight MLB seasons, including the 2004 season with the Braves.

Peter Moylan: Moylan starts his sixth year on the Braves broadcast team. Moylan played nine of his 12 MLB seasons with the Braves.

Collin McHugh: McHugh is a newcomer in 2024 after retiring from an 11-year MLB career, including the last two seasons with the Braves. McHugh will appear on both Braves LIVE and in-game as a contributor this season. He first appeared on the networks as a guest analyst for a Bally Sports spring training telecast in 2023.

The broadcast team has a combined 75 years of MLB playing experience amongst its five analysts, including 36 seasons with the Braves. In addition to the institutional knowledge, the networks’ coverage of the Braves received seven Southeast Emmy Awards last summer and was nationally recognized for the nation’s top seasonal coverage by the Cynopsis Sports Media Awards in 2019 and 2020.
