The Atlanta Braves open a three game set tonight in Truist Park against the New York Mets to finish this homestand, and it's going to be a good one: The Braves are starting Allan Winans, who absolutely dominated the Mets his last time out. Atlanta's called him back up for this start, his third of his career and first in Truist Park.

Lineup for the Atlanta Braves on Monday, August 21st

Here's how the Braves will line up for the contest:

Look out, it's a new lineup coming at you. Michael Harris II re-enters the lineup in the #2 hole, but that's not the big news:

VAUGHN GRISSOM GETS A START

Grissom is batting 9th and playing second base, with Nicky Lopez on the bench for the first time since Ozzie Albies went on the IL with a hamstring issue.

Pitching Matchup for the Atlanta Braves vs New York Mets on Monday, August 21st

Starting for Atlanta is recent call-up Allan Winans. The righty is 1-0 with a 1.59 ERA in his two major league starts, including one against the Mets. Last weekend in New York, he went seven scoreless innings with four hits and nine strikeouts as the Braves won 21-3.

Opposing Winans and the Braves is David Peterson. The lefty is 3-7 with a 5.45 ERA in his 20 games (14 starts) on the season, striking out 79 in 72,2 innings. He's had...not stellar results against Atlanta, with eight starts leading to a 3-4 record and 4.83 ERA. Matt Olson, in particular, has been an issue for Peterson, with the Braves first baseman batting .273 with three homers and eight RBIs in only 11 at-bats against him.
