Well, last night was wild, huh? In a game with twenty-seven hits and twenty-nine runs scored, Arizona managed to have the last word in a 16-13 victory over Atlanta in Truist Park. The Braves are hoping for more of a...normal pitching outing, with veteran Charlie Morton on the mound against Diamondbacks youngster Ryne Nelson.

Lineup for the Atlanta Braves on Wednesday, July 19th

Here's how the Braves will line up for the contest:

And suddenly, back to normal: After three days to rest his hamstring, Eddie Rosario is back in the lineup, playing left field and batting in his customary 7th spot, one behind DH Marcell Ozuna. His return kicks CF Michael Harris II back to the #9 spot in the lineup. Sean Murphy gets another start at catcher, batting 5th.

Pitching Matchup for the Atlanta Braves and Arizona Diamondbacks on Wednesday, July 19th

Starting for the Braves is veteran Charlie Morton. 10-6 with a 3.20 ERA, the veteran looks as good as ever, with 115 strikeouts in his 104 innings on the season. He's excelled recently - in his last three starts, he's combined for 19 innings with eleven hits, one run, and fifteen strikeouts to only four walks, all Braves victories. Atlanta is 11-7 in games started by Morton, but one of those losses was earlier this season in Arizona: a 3-2 Diamondbacks win on June 2nd, wth Morton going seven innings with six hits, three runs, two walks, and nine strikeouts.

Facing off against Atlanta is youngster Ryne Nelson. The 25 year-old righty is 5-5 on the year with a 4.98 ERA in his nineteen starts on the season. He's looking for a better performance against Atlanta tonight than last time - the Braves roughed him up for six hits and three runs in only 4.2 innings on June 3rd, walking four times and striking out none. Atlanta won that game 5-2 thanks to a Ronald Acuña Jr homerun in the 6th inning.
