The Chicago Cubs are desperate to get back on track after getting swept by the Miami Marlins over the weekend. What better way than to face the National League East cellar Washington Nationals for a four-game series?

The Cubs have slipped a bit over the last week as they went 2-4, but did capture a series win over the San Diego Padres early last week.

Taking the series against the Nationals would be a huge boost for the team's confidence.

Drew Smyly will take the mound for the Cubs and face off against MacKenzie Gore who has been having a nice season. Gore has long been one of the top pitching prospects in the game of baseball.

First pitch is scheduled for 6:05 p.m. CT.

Monday's game will be televised in the local Chicago market on the Marquee Sports Network. It will also be streamed live on MLB.tv for those who reside outside the market.
