Watch: Patrick Wisdom Blasts First Home Run of 2023 MLB Season

In this story:
The Chicago Cubs gave Patrick Wisdom the start in right field on Sunday afternoon and he immediately made the most of it.
In the second inning with the game tied 1-1, Wisdom blasted a home run to left field, a solo shot that temporarily gave the Cubs a 2-1 lead over the Milwaukee Brewers. It was Wisdom's first of the year and the second for Chicago this season.
The first came on an Ian Happ solo shot on Saturday.
The Cubs are looking to avoid the series loss to their divisional rivals and a strong offensive showing early helps. Nico Hoerner and Dansby Swanson teamed up for the first run of the day before there was even a single out in the first.
Wisdom doubled with his huge blast.
Now they will lean on Jameson Taillon to keep it close so the offense can continue to pile on runs.
