The Chicago Cubs have plenty of players competing in the World Baseball Classic this year, but outside of a few names, most are not their superstars.

However, on Monday one player turned heads during the tournament. Cubs prospect B.J. Murray was playing third base for Team Great Britain in their incredible upset victory over Colombia.

During the top of the fifth inning, Colombian third baseman Gio Urshela hit a hard chopper up the left side of the infield. Murray made a ranging play in which he slid to field the ball then made a perfect throw to first to record the out.

It was one of many plays on the day that helped Great Britain achieve the biggest win of their federation's history.

Murray also recorded an RBI-double in the afternoon to help propel the British to victory.

It was a promising display from the prospect who is playing on the biggest stage of his professional career up to this point.
