Chicago Cubs Activate Bellinger From Paternity List, Option Catcher

In this story:
The Chicago Cubs have announced that they have reactivated center fielder Cody Bellinger from the paternity list ahead of their Friday evening clash with the Miami Marlins.
Bellinger went on the paternity leave earlier in the week as he and his girlfriend welcomed their new child.
Chicago has fared fine without him as they took the series against the San Diego Padres in his absence. But his return to the lineup should help further propel the offense.
Bellinger has been hot to start the year as he looks to be returning to form after two down seasons.
Catcher Luis Torrens was optioned to Triple-A Iowa in order to make room for Bellinger on the active roster.
Torrens was a third catcher and the most obvious answer to be sent back down when Bellinger was ready to arrive.
The Cubs take on the Marlins in the first of a three-game series on Friday with first pitch scheduled for 5:40 p.m. CT. Marcus Stroman will take the mound for Chicago.
