In this story:

The Chicago Cubs will introduce new starting pitcher Jameson Taillon when he makes his debut in Spring Training in just a few days. There is plenty of excitement surrounding Taillon's arrival to the North Side as the club looks to turn the corner on their rebuild.

Taillon's talent is indisputable, but he has yet to put together that "perfect" season that he is more than capable of.

Is 2023 the year?

According to OddsChecker Taillon has +8000 odds, or a 1.2-percent chance, to win the National League Cy Young award for the 2023 MLB season.

That puts Taillon as the 27th most likely pitcher to win the award and the only Cub to be given awards for the honor.

The odds are a longshot, but Taillon has the skillset and talent to be one of the best pitchers in the National League. If he can stay healthy and have a few breaks go his way, then the sky is the limit.
