Five Reasons to Get to Chase Field Early Today

The Diamondbacks host the Dodgers tonight for game three of the NLDS. First pitch is 6:07 P.M., and the game is being broadcast on TBS.  Gates open at 3:30 P.M.  The game is a complete sellout, meaning there will be just under 50,000 in attendance. The team is suggesting fans try to get to their seats by 5:30. That will take some time. Here are five reasons you are going to want to get there as early as possible.

 5: Parking

If you're driving to the ballpark and haven't already, you might want to consider reserving in advance. That link can be found HERE.  By clicking on the map at that link you will see that the rates range between $30-$70 dollars.  Rush hour afternoon traffic will be congested  as you try to get into downtown.  You will need to allow  extra time to walk to the ballpark if you end up in one of the lots further from the stadium.  Of course you can also utilize the Park N Ride system and arrive at the stadium via light rail.

4: Long Security Lines and Rally Towels

Remember, similar to most venues these days,  there is a clear bag policy at Chase Field.  While the team utilizes the OPENGATE  weapons detection system, the lines are still going to be very long and many people struggle to get their tickets pulled up on their phones.  The first 40,000 fans get a Rally Towel too. So don't be a straggler and miss out on having a towel to wave and cheer on the Diamondbacks.

3: Concessions

It's playoff baseball and a lot has been happening in the first inning of games so far in this series. The last thing in the world you want is to be stuck on a long concession line and then see everything come to a halt during the National Anthem and realize you're going to miss first pitch.

2: Pre Game Festivities

We haven't had a playoff game in Chase Field since 2017. Soak it all in. The music, the ceremonial first pitch, the player introductions, the Color Guard and Anthem, and of course the flyover.  Don't miss a minute of it.

1: Help Build the Excitement to Support the Players

The players love your support. Help build up the excitement and atmosphere and let them hear you. Drown out those Dodger fans cheers and boos and let the Diamondbacks know this is your house!
