In this story:

When Fernando Tatis Jr. heard the crowd at Wrigley Field starting chants about his previous PED usage, there was a million ways he could've reacted. However, he opted to smile and dance and the MLB world waved it off as the Padres went on to lose 0-6.

However, he was not done. Just one day later, the Friars got their revenge against the Chicago Cubs as they won 5-3 behind two huge go-ahead runs from none other than El Niño. If no other star was going to step up, he made sure he would.

Who Struck First For Both Squads?

It was a very, very quiet game overall for both clubhouses for the first stretch of the game. San Diego continued to have little success at the plate but some decent play from Michael Wacha along with solid defense kept the Cubs at zero as well.

However, Jake Cronenworth decided to break the silence in the fourth inning with a big triple that allowed both Xander Bogaerts and Nelson cruz to score.

Trey Mancini then tied the game up again almost immediately. He took Michael Wacha deep that same inning and launched a home run 399 feet to let Seiya Suzuki score as well.

Nico Hoerner then continued in the fifth with a single that brought Patrick Wisdom home to make the score 4-3 in Chicago's favor,

Fernando Tatis Jr Reminded Everyone Who He Is

Once the seventh inning rolled around and the Padres had failed to capitalize on anything in that time period, everybody thought they were on their way to yet another disappointing loss.

But Nando had other plans in mind. He didn't start slamming home runs like he was in the minor league just a few weeks ago but he hit his first of two singles that allowed Trent Grisham and Ha-Seong Kim to take the lead.

And he wasn't satisfied with just that. In the ninth inning, he hit his second single of the game that brought Kim in once again and secured their 5-3 win.

It was only El Nino's sixth game back from suspension and he was already making winning plays like this.

When Will We See The Padres Again?
