Fernando Tatis Jr. does not carry himself with extreme confidence every single game for no reason. It can be argued that no other player in the MLB holds the same levels of athleticism, skill, and versatility that he does and on top of that, he's still in the early stages of making his return to the game of baseball after a lengthy IL stint and suspension period.

However, when a night like Wednesday rolls and Nando makes history in a big win for San Diego, the baseball world realizes the generational talent that is playing before them. In a 5-0 victory against the Cleveland Guardians, the 24-year-old superstar did a little bit of everything and the result was a stat line that nobody had seen since 1901.

"No one has had a game like the one Fernando Tatis Jr. turned in tonight. HR, 3 XBH, 2 R, 2 SB, BB, OF assist He’s the first player on record and since at least 1901 with that stat line. Beyond just the offensive output, El Niño continues to make incredible plays in the outfield."

One of the biggest questions heading into the 2023 season was centered around whether or not he would be able to adjust in his new position. However, take a look at this pinpoint throw he had to first base and you'll see he's doing just fine.

As always, Tatis made it clear that he is just extremely grateful to be playing with his guys and he wants to do whatever he can to help the team win.

“If we can do that, there’s no limit for us,” Tatis said. “This team is so talented. Everybody knows it. We know it. It’s a matter of coming together. It’s amazing, especially here at home in front of our fans. This is what I’m capable of.”
